A few weeks ago, I posted an article about Social Media by Aliza Sherman.
After reading Aliza’s article, I decided to try out Twitter for myself since I was already on Facebook. I created a Twitter name (@themogulmom) and “followed” a few people. Then, I just sat there because nothing was happening. I just didn’t “get” Twitter. I had no idea what I was supposed to do.
Then, I read The Diary of a Twitterholic Wannabe by Traci Bisson on another blog for mom entrepreneurs called, well, The Mom Entrepreneur.
After reading Traci’s article on Twitter, I began to get Twitter. In a big way. I can now say I am thisclose to being addicted to Twitter.
Here are just 5 things I love about Twitter:
1. Things in Twitterland happen FAST-perfect for a mercurial Gemini like me who flits, or should I say Twits, from one thing to another anyway.
2. You meet some really interesting people that you might never meet “in real life”. People like @ezrabutler,@PRsarahevans, @chrisbrogan, @agingbackwards and @skinnyjeans.
3. People are incredibly friendly, welcoming & helpful on Twitter.
4. You can use Twitter Search to look for keywords or people that you are interested in OR to find out who’s talking about YOU or YOUR COMPANY.
5. Using only 140 characters to write your Tweets is great practice for a perfect pitch! 
So, join Twitter and see what all the tweet is about!

It’s VERY easy to become a twitterholic, I just have to remind myself to stay on track every now and then.
Okay, ya got me. I signed up after reading your post a while ago. And made a couple updates. And now I want to follow you, for example, and I CANNOT figure out how to! I want to gnash my teeth — I’m a college grad, can multi-task like a mother (pun intended) and consider my verbal skills decent. So why is this beyond me? Am I doomed to failure because I don’t have an email address at Yahoo, Gmail or the other two they offer as options in the setup? I would let it die quietly, but we’re working on opening a store in a week, and I thought it be fun to Tweet or Twit about it.
Okay, tantrum over. But if you can point to a really easy tutorial, I’d appreciate it (I read the article you referenced, over at Traci Bisson’s site as well).
