The Mom Entrepreneur Co-op Shop is a collaborative project that started because members of The Mom Entrepreneur Online Support Group wanted a cost effective outlet for their products and services. In this economy, the cost of marketing and advertising is even less affordable when you are scrambling for every possible sale.

“I am continually amazed with the quality and uniqueness of all the different items listed at our Co-op Shop,” said Traci Bisson, owner and founder of The Mom Entrepreneur a company that offers tips, advice and resources for balancing motherhood and running a company. “We have so many talented moms in our group and they are offering some great deals!”

Traci says, “The Co-op Shop started in January 2009 with a Valentine’s Day promotion and an ad in HARO, which reached over 50,000 people.

A Twitter party was also held to celebrate the official launch of the Co-op Shop where 27 prizes were given out in two hours to over 75 party goers.

The response from the ad, Twitter party and media outreach was great. We had over 3,500 hits to the Co-op Shop in approximately three weeks time. Since the response was so positive, we decided that the Co-op Shop would remain up for all of 2009 and would change monthly depending on the seasons. Currently, we are running promotions for Easter, Earth Day and National Women’s Nutrition Week.”

The Mom Entrepreneur Co-op Shop continues to grow and change. The first ad in January highlighted 35 members and the current ad highlights over 50 members. The next Twitter party is scheduled for Tuesday, March 31st from 9:00pm – 10:30pm EST.
