What is your name & how many children do you have?
Jennifer Bourgoyne, mom to 3 boys, ages 3, 11 and 17!
What’s the name of your company and the inspiration behind it?
Czela Bellies CesareanWear is the original comfort and fashion underwear for today’s recovering C-section moms. My inspiration was my own experience with not finding any comfortable underwear after my delivery. Don’t even get me started on putting on jeans or pants either. Everything hits at the scar site. There is a tenderness to the scar site that can last for about 9 months after delivery. I created these hot little undies to do as much for your morale as your comfort. Available in bright prints and patterns, these give new moms a little lift in the style department as well. No more hospital meshies or granny panties of yesterday!
What is your current business struggle?
Keeping manufacturing costs down and streamlined is my current business struggle.
What is your current business goal?
To continue to grow my business, having “wins” at least once a week for the remainder of this year. Next year we hope to secure more cost effective manufacturing so that we can accept very large wholesale accounts.
What one quality do you think is a “must-have” for a mom entrepreneur?
Shameless self promotion!
What 1 thing or person has been very instrumental in your success?
I’d like to give props to former S.F. Area Director for Ladies Who Launch, Alison Covarrubias. Always sparking, always determined, always positive. Alison taught me to “Be a Yes”.
What are your 3 favorite blogs?
I wish I had time to read more blogs! I can tell you that Jenna McCarthy always makes me laugh & Jennsylvania. ( I must have a thing for “Jens”!)
What is your favorite quote?
“If you don’t feel like throwing up, you aren’t taking enough risks!”-Alison Covarrubias.
What advice would you give to a new mom entrepreneur?
Stay laser focused! Shut out all the “you should be doing this”, or “why don’t you also do this” type of advice. Stay focused!

Note from The Mogul Mom: I saw Jennifer on Donny Deutsch’s The Big Idea last year and thought her panties were genius. I’ve had two c-sections and can say that the tenderness lasts waaaaaay beyond 9 months after surgery. At least for me. Just sayin.
