Enter To Win A Free 2 Week Coaching Package Worth $349

by Heather Allard on October 3, 2009

Business FrustrationsLast week I wrote a post called 5 Ways to Start A Business for Under $1000 and told you about the expensive mistakes I made when I started my children’s sleepwear company.

So far, it’s been one of my most popular posts and one that resonates with anyone who’s ever started a business.

Because even if you’ve never made a business mistake that cost you thousands of dollars, you’ve likely made one that cost you time, frustration or stress.  Maybe all three.

I know how that is.

In addition to my $54,300 mistakes, here are just some of the other doozies that cost me big time, enormous stress and overwhelming overwhelm:

  • I spent 5 hours cross-eyed on the US Patent & Trademark Office website trying to figure out how to file a patent application myself
  • I held up production for 6 months looking for flame resistant fleece for Swaddleaze only to find out that it wasn’t required for sleepwear products made for infants under 9 months
  • I packed and addressed 100 orders in the wrong USPS envelopes and brought them to the post office where they told me I needed to unpack them, repackage them properly and readdress them.

It’s mistakes like these — the ones that cost thousands of dollars and precious hours of your life — that I can help you with through my coaching program. My hard-earned knowledge, experience and connections can save a mom entrepreneur’s most precious resources:  money, time, sanity.

To kick off my newly relaunched (and better than ever, I might say) coaching packages, I’m giving away “The Direction Package”, a 2-week private coaching session valued at $349 to one lucky winner.

All you have to do to enter is leave a comment on this blog post, telling me your biggest business frustration right now.

Good luck!

BIGGEST MIGRAINE: CASH, FINANCING, MONEY, INVESTMENTS.
I HAVE NO STARTUP CAPITAL. I HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO RETAIL MY JEWELRY BUT NOT $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ FOR STARTUP COSTS.

Hi Heatyher and what a great offer!

Was inspired to read that you tooou too had the debt and mistakes etc – sometimes it’s easy to think that success will never come – so good to hear that challenges can be turned around.

Biggest frustration at the minute has to be me. Finding it difficult to stay focused, not bash myself with recriminations and stop worry from blocking my creativity. Trying to learn marketing and work on networking are difficult for me and I’m sure there has to be some shortcuts – I know work and time etc involved but better organisation/time management must be possible!

Anyway thanks for this offer and off to read more articles and learn what I can.

Oh and I came across your site via a link from ecokarens blog.

To Heather and all who have replied (including me). Thank you for making me not feel so alone!

Sounds like a lot of similar challenges. there must be some valuable forum somewhere to help. Also sounds like a lot of folks are just overwhelmed with the number of things you need to do, need help prioritizing. I live by workplans, otherwise I am totally scattered and living in chaos. Happy to share my workplanning strategy to all interested. happy to share website strategy (still in progress, but happy with it so far – check it out and let me know what you think). also, i’d love to network with any other folks with a start up clothing biz. Love to pay it forward. :)

I’m getting in at the Nick of time here. We are just starting our business, and I would love your help Heather, getting started on the right track. Right now our biggest struggle is all the paperwork and making sure we are filing the right things with the right people. Thanks for this great opportunity!
