OK – Dave Navarro of The Launch Coach made me do it.

He said not to worry about how it looked, what it sounded like…just to do it.

So I did.

I would love to hear your 2010 goals in the comments.

Have a great weekend!

Heather

You go girl! I can’t wait to see more videos.

My 2010 goal is also to start Yoga! What a coincidence!

i’ve been following along with your newsletter for a while but this is my first comment…

thank you so much for sharing this!

i have been trying to work my way up to a video post for quite some time and just can’t seem to get there.

interestingly enough, i am also a yoga teacher and one of my goals for 2010 is to start offering yoga audio and video podcasts via my blog, so hopefully in the very near future i will be able to help you with your 2010 yoga goals!

thanks for stretching out of your comfort zone and inspiring me to do the same!!

HI Erin,
Thank YOU for stretching out of your comfort zone and commenting! I look forward to your yoga audio and video – that would help me a TON. :)

You know, like most things we fear, doing this video wasn’t difficult at all. I decided to stop trying to plan the whole thing – lighting, hair, makeup, script – and just DO it. It was the end of the day yesterday, I rolled video and just ad libbed. And guess what? It wasn’t half bad. LOL.

So, I really encourage everyone to STOP thinking about these things and start DOING them. :)

Heather, I usually post here and use my personal blog address: Bilingual in the Boonies, but I wanted to direct you to the group blog I edit: http://www.Tiki Tiki Blog.com.

I do regular video posts there and love it. I thought it would be strange and difficult. I am a writer by profession and have always shunned video, but I love it.
It is fun, allows you to say things in a way the written word doesn’t…

So, I am encouraging you and saying you did great!

My other goals is to finally get my 6-year-old daughter’s photo albums done , do more water aerobics and expand the business of my blogs and Spanish T-shirt line.

Many happy holidays to you!

Thanks so much, Carrie. It really is a fun, different way to do posts! I’m going to keep doing them. :)

I wish you much luck in achieving your goals. And when you’re doing with your 6yo daughter’s photo albums, head on over to my house to get to work on putting about 2000 photos in albums for my 3yo son, 6yo daughter and 9yo daughter. LOL.

Happy holidays!!

You go Girl!! Bravo Heather. I tried yoga but I’d rather spend the time painting. Funny that we were just talking in painting class yesterday how painting puts us in the same zone as yoga. My goal is to keep painting in 2010.

It’s so nice to hear your voice Heather! I feel like I know you from your blog, Twitter, Facebook and our correspondence that it’s nice to finally put a voice to the face.

I need to get out of my comfort zone too – I want to try pod-casting and video marketing for 2010, as well as start writing my book. Physically I want to start running again or perhaps take a pilates class.

Happy Holidays Heather & All You Mompreneurs!

Holly!

Isn’t it so nice to be able to see and hear someone that you feel you’ve known forever online? Dave was right! :)

I’d love to see a podcast from you and you know I’d *love* to read your book. That’s awesome!! I hope you achieve all your goals in 2010!!

well…i did it!!!! my first audio post is up today!!

i decided to start with audio (something i’ve been wanting to do for a long time) and read one of my previously published essays because that felt more comfortable than video (for now — i’ll get there!).

it’s far from perfect but…yay! i did it!!!!

thank you again for the inspiration!!

Well done on videos. I hated doing them at the start but love them now and they are 2nd nature. It seems like the weirdest thing to do at the start but once you get in to it they become as easy as blogging itself and they can open up a whole load of new doors for you. The key just like any other part of blogging is to keep doing them. Most people get bored after a couple of weeks and just stop but if you keep churning them out for a year and build an audience there is a ton of possibilities out there for you. Best of luck with them :)
