Are you the go-to person in your niche?

If you had to pause on that one, online marketing expert Laura Roeder wants to make sure you are with her new book Facebook Fame: The Facebook Marketing Bible for The Small Business.

Targeted to Facebook users of all levels, Laura shares technical assistance and strategy that take the mystery out of using Facebook to boost your bottom line.

“For a small business, being ‘famous’ doesn’t mean that you’re chased down by the paparazzi, it means that everyone in town knows that when they need the best, they come to you,” Laura says in a friendly, yet authoritative tone that carries throughout the 98-page text.

Laura opens her book with her case for choosing Facebook, which in short is because it’s free and mobilizes real people as brand ambassadors. She provides an overview of profiles, groups and pages, and then digs into why Facebook Pages are so important.

This is where it gets technical as she delves into how to make a Page and navigate Page settings. (She invites those who know to skip this part.) Next, Facebook Page users get lessons on how to best use apps and welcome tabs, as well as how to integrate the Page and their website.

Once you’re all set up, Laura gets into how to measure your results, how to get your audience to Like your product, and how to get discovered by your audience. She then shows you how to automate Facebook “fame,” winning over + multiplying your audience and outlines “The Side Effect Method,” or how you can get new followers within the Facebook framework.

The book closes with case studies, including that of Mainstream Mom creator Andrea Pokorny. The website, which provides financial advice to mothers, had no Facebook page when Andrea decided to embark on achieving Facebook fame. Through reading Facebook Fame and using supporting online materials on Laura’s website, Andrea acquired 207 Likes and continues to grow her influence on the more than 600 million-person social network.

    I love Laura!
And thanks for mentioning my testimonial =) It’s true, I didn’t even have a FB page until I found Laura. I wanted to create a strong community and what better way than to join the 750 million already on Facebook… it just makes sense!

  7. This looks very interesting. Although we’ve had our FB page up for a year I feel that I still don’t use it to its full potential. Hopefully this book sheds some light.
