How to Sell More Online

Whether you sell a product or service, getting it in front of the right people in the right way is crucial to your success.

Here are some awesome tips for selling online to help keep you moving forward (and make selling less of a pain!):

Watch your language, young lady!

Sometimes, we get too creative when writing about our businesses. Maybe you’ve written hilarious website content or blog posts that have no SEO value. Or, you’re using search terms that no one is even looking for. Go over your search terms and business content. Make sure you’re using simple, everyday language to really drive customers to your business.

Fish with the right bait.

Are you giving something away on your blog or website? Do you encourage customers to purchase or sign-up for your newsletter with a free incentive?

If so, are you offering them the right freebie? Give away something your customers can really use, like free shipping or a hefty coupon for their next purchase. If you provide a service, think about giving them a special report or ebook in your area of expertise.

You have customer service, right?

Even though you may have a small business, most customers expect big business customer service. Make sure you define clearly on your website how and when you provide customer support.

Use your social media accounts to interact with your customers and let them know you care about their business. And check out Olark, a real-time chat and monitoring service for websites.
