This post in regards to finding your niche market is very important. I’m currently a senior in college and taking an Entrepreneurial Marketing class. We spent an entire class on choosing/knowing your market and creating an actual persona of the person you plan to sell to….your target. Our professor has published a book for entrepreneurs as this is his passion and we have learned so much from him. He is also able to give us real world examples as he has ran several very successful businesses himself.
Part of our class project is working on website optimization and online advertising. We have created the following site that can provide a free sample of a portion of his book. Readers of this blog may be very interested in reviewing it. Furthermore, if the book appeals to you you can even help my project by purchasing the book through our webpage. The book normally costs $14.98 but can be purchased at $9.98 through our website. I encourage readers to check it out even if you decide not to buy. It is an easy read and you’ll find is loaded with many of true and tried tips and information.

Hi, Thanks for the coverage. I just wanted to clarify that our survey tool is free to use when surveying your own list of respondents (what we call ‘List Surveys’) and offers more than you find in most of the other free accounts including:

    Unlimited surveys
    Unlimited responses
    Unlimited questions
    Skip Logic
    Cross-tabs
    Filtering
Data Export (Every bar and pie chart can be downloaded in seconds as a JPG, PNG, PDF or SWF and you can also export and download the raw survey results data to Excel or as CSV)

There is a cost to utilize our built-in DIY panel when you need targeted respondents (what we call ‘Panel Surveys’).

Please feel free to get in touch with any questions,
    Donna

Great post, we’ll definitely be adding AYTM to the toolkit of resources we offer on our website, so thanks!

In our experience working with women entrepreneurs (many of them Mums, or Moms as you guys say in the States!) so many businesses are held back by:

    1) a failure to narrow down and clearly define their niche and
    2) a lack of understanding of what their customers, or target market, really really want and need.

It becomes so much easier to reach people and get your message out into the world when these two steps are taken, and this tool looks like a great way to get your research done quickly and professionally.

Another great survey tool that is available for free is http://www.surveymoneky.com It doesn’t offer a service sourcing survey respondents like this one, but it’s a great free tool for surveying your list (up to 10 responses for free).
